It’s December, which means you start seeing some end-of-the year reports. Included in this coming Monday’s Bemidji City Council packet is a table that has the ratio of food and liquor sold at various establishments around town.
The stats are from 2009 and are compiled to determine the percentage of total sales from food purchases; those with food percantages under 35 percent pay a higher liquor license fee.
The on-sale intoxicating liquor license fee is $3,780 for those establishments with food sales higher than 35 percent and $4,355 for those with food sales under 35 percent.
